Blockchain F.A.Q.: where does it run?

As part of my blockchain training, I’ve heard a lot of questions about where, exactly, does a blockchain run.

Like email, blockchain and distributed ledgers run on top of the internet. Blockchain is really not much different than a chat app between computers, allowing them to agree on changes and updates to shared facts.

So the magic of blockchain is made possible by the internet!
